According to the Administration on Aging, the 65 and older population in the United States is projected to grow by 147 percent between 2000 and 2050. By comparison, the population as a whole would have increased by only 49 percent over the same period (Administration on Aging, 2006). That will be almost 25% of the population and that is not including the 55 - 64 year olds who are starting to pay closer attention to the senior/retiree lifestyle and issues.
Unfortunately, many Americans fall within those parameters where they qualify for Medicare, but cannot afford a good Medi-Gap plan or are simply not quite at retirement age and have no coverage. Here at Senior-Clique it is our deepest desire to see all medical needs for seniors met.
