Durable Medical Equipment Swapmeet

According to the Administration on Aging, the 65 and older population in the United States is projected to grow by 147 percent between 2000 and 2050. By comparison, the population as a whole would have increased by only 49 percent over the same period (Administration on Aging, 2006).  That will be almost 25% of the population and that is not including the 55 - 64 year olds who are starting to pay closer attention to the senior/retiree lifestyle and issues.

Unfortunately, many Americans fall within those parameters where they qualify for Medicare, but cannot afford a good Medi-Gap plan or are simply not quite at retirement age and have no coverage.  Here at Senior-Clique it is our deepest desire to see all medical needs for seniors met.  Seniors have given so much to this country; it’s about time we gave back to them, hence, the birth of the Senior-Clique.com DME Swap Meet

Allow us to elaborate:

As the average age of the American citizen increases, so will the need for DME.

When patients are discharged from a hospital, there is usually a need for an assistive device such as a walker, wheelchair or oxygen. Where's Medicare?

Red Right Arrow How You can help

How?

The Senior-Clique.com DME Swap Meet (SCDSM) will provide a Forum in which those members of the community or their family members can go into the forum and post a piece of equipment that they would like to donate to the cause.  Additionally, there will be an area dedicated for those people who are in need and simply cannot afford to pay for DME to post a request of what they are looking for.

Here is where it gets exciting, the cost would be minimal.  The only cost to the recipient would be shipping.  Senior-Clique is in the process of making this a non-for-profit and hopes that we will be able to provide drastically reduced shipping as a result.  Senior-Clique is currently working on obtaining discount packaging with the USPS.  What could be better than donating a piece of equipment to someone in need?  It virtually costs you nothing but a little time to package and send.

So come on, what are you waiting for?  Be a Blessing in someone’s life and pay forward some DME today!  Did we mention it could also be a tax write-off?
